Endeavor is the name of two sailing yachts with which the British aircraft designer and regatta sailor Sir Thomas Sopwith attempted to win the America's Cup in 1934 and 1937 as a challenger.

The Endeavor and Endeavor II belonged to the J class.

Both boats were beaten by the US defenders, Rainbow 1934-3 in 2 and Ranger 1937-4 in 0.

However, our ship models of the Endeavor are unbeaten!

The Endeavor has a very checkered history. She was decommissioned in 1938 after serving as a training boat for the Endeavor II during the 1937 America's Cup. She then changed hands several times without ever sailing again.

Between 1984 and 1988 she was restored under the direction of then US owner Elizabeth Meyer, after only parts of the hull remained. A major overhaul took place in 2001.
